Swim Clinic – Jessica Calderbank

On Saturday 29 March we are hosting a Swim Clinic with Jessica Calderbank.

Jessica started her swimming journey with ORCA many years ago, she now is a competitive butterfly swimmer.

Jess represents Jamaica and is the second fastest woman in Jamaican history. She has a wealth of knowledge and is a respected sports biomechanist when out of the pool.

On the day she will be covering some land-based activities for training and racing prep, including fundamentals of strength and conditioning, goal setting and/or race analysis. She will also be carrying out some technique-based swim sessions, drills and will give visual feedback.

We are inviting all Group 2 swimmers, and those who swim in Group 1 but only if they currently swim in Lanes 1-4.

Swimmers in Lanes 5 & 6 don’t currently meet the endurance requirements for this session there is also a cap on numbers.

If any parent has any doubts, then please contact Dave/Vicky – head.coach@orcaswimming.club

Safeguarding

ORCA Swimming Club takes a robust approach to safeguarding and along with Swim England has a zero-tolerance policy on the use of mobile phones and other digital devices in changing rooms during Swim England regulated activity.

All our training sessions are ‘regulated activity’ within the definition of Wavepower.

Should the need arise our Club Welfare Officer can be contacted at welfare@orcaswimming.club in the strictest confidence.

Please ensure swimmers are aware of this rule. We want ALL of our swimmers to have a positive experience at the pool.
