Who we are

ORCA Swimming Club is a Not-for-profit organisation, run by volunteers, for the good of the members. We are based at Royton Leisure Centre, Park St, Royton, Oldham OL2 6QZ.

The Club is run and administered through a volunteer Committee that can be contacted by email.

OUR CLUB CONSTITUTION

ORCA committee and YOU (as a member of ORCA SC) are obliged to follow the ORCA Club Constitution. Failuer to follow the Club Constitution may result in the termination of your membership of the club, or ORCAs termination of membership to Swim England.

Comments

We do not aim to collect comments through the website and any information collected will be deleted from the site. The website is set up to communicate from the club to its members only.

The website has a subscription service for news posts, this is voluntary for members and will only be set up by the subscriber, following 2 factor authentication of the subscriber. Any email correspondence from the service will contain a link to allow the subscription to be terminated. Following the removal of the subscription, the information held will be removed from the web site no more than 3 months after the requested removal of the subscription request.

This subscription service only holds Name and email address, and is used for the purpose of posting New Posts, News Letters and Information to the subscribers.

Media

The web site will not be used for the upload of media.

ORCA may occasionally publish images of the swimmers, parents and events on the website, respectful of the parent/guardians wishes expressed on the membership applications. In the event that we get this wrong, or you have an objection to any images or information shown on the ORCA website or social media posts, please contact a member of the committee and it shall be removed as soon as reasonably practical.

ORCA do not seek to collect data through Cookies. The Web Domain Host may use temporary cookies on your device to facilitate communications and remembering your previous web addresses. This can be changed from your own computer web browser and is outside the control of ORCA.

Swim England – For ASA Membership and Insurance details

Central Lancs – Swimmers Name and Ages only for purpose of the Galas where relevant

Arena League – Swimmers Name and Ages only for purpose of the Galas where relevant

Gala Competitions – Relevant Club organiser – – Swimmers Name and Ages only for purpose of the Galas where relevant

How long we retain your data

If you leave the club, we plan to hold your data for 1 calendar year for the purpose of historic records for the club accounts. Data will be deleted the following year.

What rights you have over your data

If you wish to request any data to be removed, please contact the committee. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Data will only be communicated, on a need to know basis, to the entities detailed above and for the general use of the ORCA committee for uses concerning club business only.
