Following on from our recent Safeguarding post. We have updated the website with an opt out of photography and filming by the club.
Consent is already a part of our membership form but swimmers can be opted out at any time by going to the link below. You can also view and download the Swim England policy here.
ORCA Swimming Club takes a robust approach to safeguarding and along with Swim England has a zero-tolerance policy on the use of mobile phones and other digital devices in changing rooms during Swim England regulated activity.
All our training sessions are ‘regulated activity’ within the definition of Wavepower.
Should the need arise our Club Welfare Officer can be contacted at welfare@orcaswimming.club in the strictest confidence.
Please ensure swimmers are aware of this rule. We want ALL of our swimmers to have a positive experience at the pool.
Dave & Vicky have recognised their recent achievements and made the following comments;
📯Both had a great comp last weekend at Sheffield in the Rotherham open meet. Their attendance is excellent, as is their attitude in training and they’ve both shown massive progress.
It was their first Long Course comp at Sheffield and both won medals, with Freddie finishing 3rd over overall in the 50m Breaststroke and Olive 4th overall in the 200m Breaststroke.
Well done both 👏trophies will be handed out at training on Thursday !
This is an idea gala for swimmers to enter into Competitive Swimming.
Swimmers will need to be 9 years old on the gala date.
You will also need a Swim England “Swim to Compete” membership, if you have a “Swim to Train” membership this will need to be upgraded so that you can take part.
Thank you to all that have recently completed memberships, if you haven’t yet renewed please ensure you submit before the deadline of 1 February 2025 !
