Return to Swimming – Phased Return

ORCA are planning a Phased Return to swimming – starting Monday 27th July 2020. The return to swimming will be phased in through the coming weeks, and you will be invited to attend specific sessions which we require your acceptance to attend.

You will receive an invitation from the coaching team by email. Please do not attend a session that you have not been invited to.

Key facts so far

Three Double Lanes – maximum of 30 swimmers in the pool – by invitation only – please only attend the sessions you have been invited to. If you arrive for a session that you have not been booked in to, you will not be admitted.

A register will be taken on arrival, confirming that the swimmer is booked in for that session and to confirm parent / guardian contact details.

Safe arrival / departure protocols. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before the session starts and arrive ready to swim (swimming gear on with clothing to remove poolside). Bring your own training kit and drink, please have them clearly marked with the swimmers name.

One parent / guardian maximum. Viewing area will be limited and we request spectators follow OCL guidance and safe separation. We would appreciate parents / guardians planning to drop off / pick up rather than stay. Please arrive in time to depart as soon as swim training ends.

Training fees are to be restarted by Standing Order only re-commencing 1 August 2020.

For training sessions in July, the monthly fees will not apply but we would request a voluntary contribution to support payment of pool fees – suggested donation £5 would be appreciated.

Committee members will be on hand at the door / reception to help you with any enquiries, if you have any questions you would like to ask beforehand – please use the AskORCA page and we shall reply as soon as we can.

Please do not attend if you, the swimmer or any member of your family have any symptoms of COVID-19 – or been near anyone who shows symptoms.
