Summer Break

Our summer break this year will take part from 17th August to 26th August inclusive.

The last session will be Thursday 15th August

The first session back in the pool will be Thursday 29th August

Upcoming events after the break :

ORCA Summer Club Champs – 28th September – Details coming soon

Wigan Open Gala – 5th and 6th October – entries open until the end of August so please enter and support our club in this competition

ORCA AGM – 4th November (Provisional) – Please come support the club, have your say on what we do, and come help us run and make decisions what we do.

BMSS Open Gala – 7th and 8th December – Competition details to follow

ORCA Christmas Club Champs – 14th December – Competition details to follow

Wigan Open Gala

Entries are now open for the BCM Wigan Open Gala – see link below for details

Gala – BCM SWPA Autumn Meet 2024 – ORCA Swimming Club

This is an idea gala for swimmers to enter into Competitive Swimming. Swimmers will need to be 9 years old on the gala date – see details.

You will also need a Swim England “Swim to Compete” membership, if you have a “Swim to Train” membership this can be upgraded so that you can take part.

No training Monday 24 June

ORCA are hosting the next round of the Intermediate League gala on Monday 24th June. There will be no training that night.

Swimmers who normally attend can pick up an additional Saturday or Thursday session if that helps

No Training Monday 3 June

There will be no training on Monday 3rd June as ORCA are hosting the Open League gala against Ramsbottom

Swimmers who normally train on a Monday are welcome to pick up an additional session on the Thursday or Saturday training times

No Training Thursday 25 April

Please note that due to the BCM Intermediate League gala on Thursday 25th April being at home, there will be no training. Swimmers that usually train on this day are welcome to attend the Saturday training session instead at the following times;
Group 1 15.15 – 16.15,
Group 2 16.15 – 17.15

For those attending the gala, there is a £3 fee for spectators that includes a raffle ticket.

No Training on Thursday

A reminder that due to the BCM Open League gala tomorrow night there will be no training.

For those attending the gala, there is a £3 fee for spectators that includes a raffle ticket.

ORCA Presentation Evening tickets will also be available to collect or purchase from the spectators entrance desk tomorrow evening.
