Halloween Vs Bonfire Night Club Gala

ORCA are pleased to announce a new Club Gala – ORCA Swimmers only.

As a number of our swimmers are not able to enter individual swimming galas, ORCA plan to hold a small number of internal galas through the year to allow swimmers to swim in a competitive environment.

The Halloween Vs Bonfire Night Club Gala will be held over two consecutive Saturdays over the half term break. Each session plans to run two events, National Plan swimmers should enter the 25M events. Group 1, Group 2 and ATS swimmers should enter the 50M events.

Gala Part 1 : Saturday 30th October 2021 – 3:15 PM to 5:15 PM – replacing both sessions

Gala Part 2 : Saturday 6th November 2021 – 3:15 PM to 5:15 PM – replacing both sessions

There will be no training on these days – if you chose not to swim in the Gala – you are free to attend the Monday or Thursday training sessions as normal.

Swimmers entering should plan to be ready to be poolside for a prompt start at 3:15 and attend what would normally be both Saturday training sessions.

If time permits, we may also add in some “Fun Swims” in the event – which will be organised based on the number of entries and the time available to run the extra races.

There will be a charge of £5.00 to enter the gala – whether you enter one or all four races.

Please complete this entry form below and place in an envelope – together with a cheque for £5.00 made out to ORCA SC – and place in the ORCA post box in the viewing area. Alternatively please make a bank transfer to the club and clearly identify the swimmers name and “Gala” on the payment reference. In exceptional circumstances, a cash payment could be made but please hand this to a member of the committee and not use the ORCA box for any cash payments.
